DESIGNED FOR TRAVEL

The RoadTrip™ is a fixed-neck travel guitar that’s designed to suit the needs of acoustic guitarists who want the biggest sound and fullest tone possible in a travel-sized guitar. With an overall length of about 36 inches and a lower bout width of under 14.5 inches, the RoadTrip™ boasts a longer relative scale length of 24.5 inches and an expanded Manzer wedge © body design with highly scalloped forward-shifted X-bracing.  The result is a guitar that travels small yet sounds ginormous with awesome bass response and sweet trebles! The string spacing is 1 ¾ at the nut and 2 ¼ at the saddle, so it feels and plays like a full-sized guitar.

The RoadTrip™ comes with our proprietary under-bridge passive triple piezo pickup system that sounds great straight to the soundboard – regardless your style of playing.

The RoadTrip™ travel bag is made with premium ballistic nylon and super-thick high density foam padding and a soft velour lining for maximum protection. It’s designed with patented neck compartments to take advantage of space around the guitar neck and it features a massive pleated front pocket and stretch-mesh pocket, as well as multiple straps and daisy chains so you can easily store all gear for a gig, or pack for a day or two of travel. The RoadTrip™ travel bag seamlessly integrates with our travel uke case for a complete travel solution for guitarists who play uke as well.

 COMFORTABLE TO PLAY

  • The wedge design angles the guitar into your body which places the guitar in a comfortable position for fingerboard access and viewing.
  • The dual-action steel truss-rod enables fine tuning of relief to suit any playing style.
  • Satin-finish low-c profile neck make this 24.5 inch scale super comfortable to play.

RT660 Customer Review
I am an airline pilot for a major airline and take a guitar with me on every trip. I travel throughout North America and the Caribbean. Because any guitar I take with me goes through significant temperature, humidity and pressure extremes all in one day, I was always concerned with the effects it might have on the guitar I took with me. I have 2 Traveller guitars, a Taylor GS Mini, Ibanez, Yamaha and Alvarez that I might choose. I alternated the guitars because I didn’t want to expose one guitar to this constant barrage of extremes.

Now I have a Journey RT660. It will be the only guitar I take with me. You already know this, but let me expand on my impressions.

The carbon fiber durability, well it’s a no-brainer. No heat, humidity or pressure will affect it. Add to that, just plain durability…it isn’t as delicate as wood, so it is much less likely to get crushed in the back of a hotel van. Add to the guitar durability, a well designed and padded gig bag that is included with the guitar purchase price and you have a perfect travel guitar.

Size is perfect. About the size of my GS Mini but better playability because of the fretboard design. It fits in the cockpit easily.
