Jacque is a singer-songwriter with six CDs released and several awards under her belt, including recognition from cultural competitions in Brazil and abroad. She has had the great privilege of playing her music all across the world in over 15 countries, including Europe, Africa, and Latin America.
Always excited to collaborate with fellow musicians, Jacque has worked with many talented artists, such as Mônica Salmaso, Véronica Ferriani, and Andrea dos Guimarães, among others. She has a degree in Music from the Federal University of São Carlos and a degree in MPB/Jazz – Popular Singing from the Conservatório Dramático e Musical Dr. Carlos de Campos de Tatuí (SP).
In 2022, the São Paulo State Cultural Action Program (ProAC) formally recognized her vast passion for music and awarded her a grant to record her very first solo album. It was released in August 2022, after which Jacque embarked on her debut tour, adventuring through Brazil and Europe. If that didn’t make the year sweet enough, not long after, she was also selected to be a resident artist at NART in Estonia.
When asked about her Journey Instruments guitar, Jacque had this to say:
“I’m a songwriter and a nomadic person from Brazil. I found my Journey guitar in Zurich, Switzerland, during my European tour in 2024. I traveled through nine countries doing solo concerts with this guitar, which proved to be perfect for shows, on the road, on flights, and also for recordings and live sessions. We had an incredible journey together, and she became my best companion; that’s why I called her ‘Whale.'”
