Guitar Adventures reviews Journey Overhead!

I’ve seen collapsible guitars before and I’ve never been impressed. They seem so flimsy and the gig bags are awkward. I don’t usually think of a collapsible travel guitar as one that I would be proud to show off and certainly not one that I would be willing to play on stage…after a couple weeks with the carbon fiber Overhead guitar, however, and I’ve changed my tune.

Maneli Jamal Demos Overhead OF420

This truly is one of the best demos ever of our guitars, and worth a watch if not simply to hear Maneli play. If you’re considering buying a new travel guitar, or are easily swayed to make an impulse purchase – be careful – watching Maneli play the OF420 may just make you pull the trigger on a new Journey Overhead… next thing you know you’ll be on holiday picking away in a lounge chair overlooking some splendid view!

Thoughts on DOT's new carry-on policy

Over the past few weeks, I’ve had several few people ask me what I think about the upcoming United States Department of Transportation announcement that “[Airline] Carriers must allow passengers to stow their small musical instruments [guitars, violins, etc.] in an approved stowage area in the cabin.” I thought this would be a great opportunity for a fun blog post.…
